Yes — donations to King George Community Closet are tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law.
We are a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. You can deduct charitable contributions made to us if you itemize deductions on your federal tax return. For cash donations, keep your bank records, cancelled checks, or a written statement from us showing the amount and date. For non-cash donations (clothing, household items, etc.), determine the fair market value of the items and keep a receipt from us. Contributions of $250 or more require a contemporaneous written acknowledgment from the organization (we provide these upon request).

Donate clothing and essentials
We accept clean, gently used adult and children’s clothing, seasonal outerwear, shoes, and new underwear and socks.
Please launder items before donating and check for rips, stains, or missing buttons.
Volunteer your time
Help sort and organize donations, staff community distribution events, assist with pickups/deliveries, or support administrative tasks and outreach.
Shifts are flexible; we welcome one-time volunteers and regular volunteers.
Host a donation drive
Organize a clothing drive at your workplace, school, church, or community group. We can provide guidance and promotional materials.
Give financially
Monetary donations help us buy new essentials, cover operating costs, and expand programs. Even small gifts make a big difference.
Spread the word
Share our mission with friends, family, and on social media. Word-of-mouth helps us reach more neighbors in need.
